Dentures

Dentures are a removable option for replacing missing teeth and restoring your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

At Unity Dental, we provide customised dentures designed to restore function while achieving a natural appearance and comfortable fit.

What Are Dentures?

Dentures are prosthetic teeth designed to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissue.

Depending on your needs, dentures may replace:

  • Several missing teeth
  • Or all teeth in the upper or lower jaw

Dentures can help improve chewing, speech, facial support, and overall smile appearance.

Types Of Dentures

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain.
They are designed to fill gaps caused by missing teeth while helping maintain chewing function and appearance.

Full Dentures

Full dentures replace all teeth in the upper or lower arch. Modern full dentures are individually designed to provide improved comfort, function, and aesthetics.

Implant Supported Dentures

In some cases, dentures can be supported by dental implants for improved stability and retention. Implant supported dentures may help reduce movement and improve comfort when eating and speaking.

The denture process generally involves several appointments, including:

  • Consultation and examination
  • Impressions
  • Trial fitting appointments
  • Final fitting and adjustments

Common Reasons Patients Consider Dentures

Patients may consider dentures if they:

  • Have multiple missing teeth
  • Have difficulty chewing
  • Want to improve smile appearance
  • Need a removable tooth replacement option

Replacing missing teeth may also help support facial structure and improve everyday function.

Natural Looking Dentures

Modern dentures are designed to look more natural and comfortable than many patients expect.

At Unity Dental, we focus on creating dentures that suit your facial appearance while restoring practical day-to-day function.

Looking After Your Dentures

Regular dental reviews remain important even after receiving dentures.

Ongoing care may include:

  • Denture adjustments
  • Monitoring gum health
  • Assessing denture fit over time
  • Professional cleaning

Over time, dentures may require relining, adjustment, or replacement due to natural changes in the gums and jawbone.
